Before your trip

Walk your trip before you go.

Tell Perge where you’re going and when you leave. It plans a walk from your hotel through the sights, and every walk you do at home, outside or on a treadmill moves you along it. Each sight is a postcard with street-level photos and its story, so when you land, you already know the way.

How it works

Three steps,
then you’re off.

Plan it in the Perge app: Journeys › Before your trip. It takes a minute.

1

Where and when

Pick the city, the day you leave and, if you like, your hotel. Your walk starts there, like your days will.

2

The sights, planned

Perge suggests what to see, from its own city tours and the places Wikipedia writes most about. Keep the ones you want, add your own, and Perge links them up on real streets.

3

Walk it anywhere

Every walk, run or ride you record moves you along it, on a treadmill too. Home shows the days to go and how much a day finishes it before you fly.

Arrive knowing the way

See it before
you’re there.

The steps get you moving. What you see along the way is what makes the city familiar.

Street-level views

Look around at every stop and wherever your miles have got to, so you’ll recognise the corner when you turn it.

Postcards with the story

Reach a sight and its postcard arrives: a photo and what it is, why it matters and what’s around it.

The streets, out loud

As you walk, Perge’s voice tells you which street you’re on and how far it is to the next sight, in English, Italian, Spanish or Chinese.

Made for

Holidays, races
and new homes.

A holiday or a honeymoon

Count down to the trip with something to do every day, and spend your first morning there exploring instead of looking at a map.

A race abroad

Walk the course of a charity run before you travel to run it. Perge has real events on it, from Mumbai to Liverpool.

A move or a semester abroad

Walk from your new address to the station, the campus and the market, so your first week feels like your second.

A cause, if you like

Walk there for
something good.

Pick a cause for your trip and pledge an amount for every mile, to a vetted charity. You give it yourself on Every.org when you’re ready; Perge never touches the money.

Good to know

Questions.

Something else? Write to hello@perge.health.

Do I need to be in the city?

No. You walk wherever you are, at home, around the block or on a treadmill, and your pin moves the same distance along the walk through the city.

Which cities can I plan?

Any. Perge suggests sights for anywhere Wikipedia covers, and you can add any address or place yourself, including your hotel.

How long is the walk?

It depends on the sights you keep, usually a few miles. Perge shows how much a day finishes it before you leave.

Is it free?

Planning your own trip comes with Perge+. The city tours, famous walks through cities on every continent, are free to walk.
